Felipe Felix Arias is a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC),
where he works on mobile robot cognition and navigation in Dr. Nancy M. Amato's group. He received his B.S. in 
Computer Science with Honors from UIUC in 2019 and worked as an undergraduate researcher at UIUC, Stanford, 
and the University of California, Berkeley. Having moved to the United States from Bolivia at 
the age of twelve, Felipe is committed to advocating for diversity in higher education and helping 
immigrants. Outside of his academic pursuits, he is a multi-instrumentalist that enjoys hiking and 
photography.
